The Four Questions Worksheet
You are Not Your Thoughts
Think of them like passing clouds. The mere fact that you can observe them demonstrates they are separate from you. The next step? You get to choose which thoughts you believe.
Your mind is the great storyteller, and you’re on your very own choose-your-own-adventure ride. You can shift what you believe, release the beliefs that no longer serve you, and bring in new ones—literally rewiring your brain by creating new neural pathways.
HOW TO START
The key is learning to step into observer mode —to pull yourself out of the emotional pull of a thought and see it objectively. This is where real freedom begins.
Ever catch yourself thinking things like…
❌ "I should be further along by now."
❌ "No matter what I do, things never seem to work out."
❌ "This is just the way I am."
Thoughts like these feel real in the moment, but are they actually true? That’s where Byron Katie’s Four Questions come in. Next time you feel stuck in a negative thought, ask yourself:
1️⃣ Is it true?
2️⃣ Can you absolutely know it’s true?
3️⃣ How do you react—what happens—when you believe that thought?
4️⃣ Who would you be without that thought?
Try this any time your mental chatter starts taking you for a spin—when your thoughts feel like they own you, keeping you stuck in self-doubt or smallness.
Make it an experiment. Write it down, voice record your process—notice what shifts. How do you feel afterward? Access your free worksheet here.
Your mind is valuable real estate. Start pruning the thoughts and patterns limiting your potential. The more you practice, the more space you create for clarity, confidence, and possibility.
